As well as getting to know the city, cycling through the main areas of interest and past Malaga’s famous monuments, you will also learn the art of ordering, hear about the history of tapas and the local dining culture. Visit the local market and sample locally grown olives, almonds and figs while taking in the lively atmosphere of the fishmongers shouting their wares and the locals catching up with their favourite vendors.
One of the many types of weird and wonderful fish you will see at the Malaga central market is ‘boquerones’ (anchovies)- a very popular dish in Malaga prepared in two distinct ways. And did you know that the nickname for people from Malaga is also boquerones? We’ll entertain you with lots more stories along the way while ‘tapeando’ at two typical tapas bars.
