Blog: Vegan Restaurant Malaga
Whilst, slowly but surely, vegetarian meals are becoming easier to find in most restaurants, the vegan meals are yet to be discovered. With the rising popularity of vegan fans, cities are getting more and more creative with their menus. Málaga is a great city for any diet. There is a lot of fresh produce and a great variety of products. The question is, what is the best vegan restaurant in Malaga?
#5 La Plaza
La Plaza has two locations in the centre within a 150 metre range of one another. Both restaurants have great locations with sunny terraces. The food is delicious! Recently they added a full vegan menu to their regular menu. And by full I mean, 3 pages full! Keep in mind that the prices at La Plaza are slightly higher, but the perfect location makes up for it! Our favourites: Indonesian Coconut & Peanut Curry and the Moroccan Spiced Crispy Roll with tzaziki.
Calle Alcazabilla, 7
Plaza de la Merced, 18
#4 La Calle
La Calle is known for having the best burger in town. They opened the first restaurant in 2015 but have already expanded to 9 locations! They use fresh ingredients and all their burgers are homemade. On the menu you will find 3 vegetarian burgers and they can all be ordered completely vegan as well. Our favourite: Lentils in Curry burger.
Multiple locations, check the web page for the one closest to you!
#3 El Vegetariano de la Alcazabilla
Mainly a vegetarian restaurant but with enough vegan options on the menu as well. Great about El Vegetarano de la Alcazabilla is the quaint location and relaxed atmosphere. Some of our favourites on the menu: spinach and peanut croquetes, the tofu burger and their vegan mixed platter.
Calle Pozo del Rey, 5
#2 Andino Gastrobar
You might not expect a lot of vegan options from a Southern American restaurant, but the Chilean chef at Andino knows exactly what he is doing! From a delicious steak to vegan empanadas, this one definitely deserves a spot in our top 5! Our favourites here: sweet potato fries and the mini vegan empanada!
Calle Calderón de la Barca 3
The local favourite! Recyclo Bike Café combines both great atmosphere with local art and an alternative vibe with a varied menu. Not only does this café have a wonderful atmoshpere, the food is fresh and delicious. A few of our favourites: vegan meatballs and the vegan chocolate and peanut pie!
