For music and photography fans- this is the exhibition for you!
From now until March 18th 2018 you can enjoy this collection of rare photos of two of the most important bands in music history: the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
The photos, shot by the photographers Gered Mankowitzz and Terry O`Neill, were taken during the early days of the music revolution that the two groups started. O’Neill states that the photos are testament to their skills of “being invisible, having patience, and knowing how to combine discretion and public relations.”
Enjoy this unique selection of photos and old film footage that help to dispel the myth of the supposed rivalry between the two bands.
Entrance to the exhibition is free.
Exhibition hours: Tuesday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The exhibition is housed in La Térmica, Avda de los Guindos, 48.
La Termica is a cultural centre that offers workshops, exhibitions, training courses and general interest classes. The facilities are housed in an impressive turn of the last century building.
How to get there by bike:
Take the bike path going west along the coast. Shortly after the tallest chimney stack, look for the chiringuito (beach bar) LA CAMPANA PLAYA and the ‘sand sculpture’ MISERICORDIA and head towards the street parallel to the promenade.
Look for Avda de los Guindos which is the Street opposite the roundabout. La Térmica is approx 200 metres up the Avda de los Guindos and on the left.
Ask the Malaga Bike Tours staff for a map and directions.
