Clearly, your safety and that of our staff is our priority. Therefore, we are ensuring that all the necessary COVID-19 safety measures are in place. Our bikes are disinfected before and after each use. Helmets (obligatory for under 16’s) are available with disposable helmet liners if so desired.
Malaga Bike Tours Shop Safety Measures
When entering our shop to rent a bike, customers must wear a mask. Please use the hand-gel from the dispenser that is to the right of the door as you enter the shop. Of course, we disinfect surfaces of the check-in counter before and after each customer. We have a maximum capacity of three customers in the shop at one time. Therefore we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in this matter.
Is wearing a mask obligatory?
In all of Spain, wearing a mask that covers the mouth and nose is compulsory in all outdoor spaces when a distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained. Masks must be worn in all indoor public places. You don’t have to wear a mask while swimming, eating or drinking.
Do you have to wear a mask while cycling?
The regulation states that you don’t have to wear a mask while doing individual sport or when you can keep 1.5 metres distance from others. Children under 6 years old do not have to wear a mask nor people who suffer from a health problem which could be aggravated by wearing a mask. You must carry a doctor’s note if you are not wearing a mask for medical reasons.
Accordingly, if we all do our part, we can still enjoy our beloved biking. And besides, we will then all help to end this health crisis sooner rather than later.
Free Health Insurance for all non-resident visitors to Andalusia in 2021.
In an effort to guarantee the region as a safe travel destination, the Andalusian government has introduced free health insurance for all tourists that visit this year.
In our opinion it is a wonderful initiative. Hopefully it will provide even more incentive for you to visit us soon!

Take care everyone!
